Over the years we have had some outstanding team members come through our doors. Two of which we said farewell to this fall, Lan Nguyen and Andrea Tuttle. Both women started working for Amazáe in the spring of 2011.
Andrea, a bride of Amazáe’s in 2010, studied Hospitality, Tourism and Event Management at San Jose State. She enjoyed planning her own wedding with Crystal so much that she took on the role of design and production assistant for a year and a half. During her time at ASE as Crystal’s right-hand-woman, Andrea says “Working for Amazáe brought design to a whole new level for me. It is amazing what you learn from being surrounded by such a creative team. Crystal really has an incredible talent and I feel fortunate to have been able to work with her.” As much as Andrea will miss her design and production assignments at ASE, she said it is our team that she will miss the most.
Lan was our office manager at ASE for the past year and a half. Being on the communication side of the company, Lan created relationships and processes that we continue to this day. Finding team members who are unique in their interests and personalities and yet compatible is of the upmost importance at ASE. Lan reflects on how the relationships our team forms are not only business oriented, but strong bonds. “The wonderful team! Crystal was fantastic as a boss, a teacher, and also a friend. I remember our long rides back and forth to events and how we would always talk about what’s going on in our lives, and she gave the best advice whether it’s for work or relationship. Also, our leading ladies, Jen and Andrea, who are fantastic partners in crime. We shared so many laughs and jokes throughout our journey here at Amazae. I was so fortunate to know that after a long and difficult day at an event, when we got together in the office, everything would be okay. I feel so fortunate to have these amazing women beside me during my time here at Amazae.”
Lan and Andrea, from all of us at Amazae, we wish you the best in life and career. You will always be a part of the ASE family.
When on the hunt for new team members ASE owner, Crystal, and associate, Tam Hisxton, look for people with great professional and life experiences, fun personalities, strong communication skills, and loads of potential. This fall we are very happy to welcome our newest Amazáe team member– Sarah Carroll. Filling the roll of office manager and production assistant, Sarah handles the important clerical duties as well as keeping our business and team on track with the busy schedule of events.
Sarah graduated with a BA in Human-Communication, Concentration in Journalism & Media Studies from CSU-Monterey Bay. Sarah, a huge SF Giants fan, has a passion for travel, trying new restaurants and often loves to combine the two. “I hope to gain an in-depth knowledge of the event planning industry as well as develop a strong management foundation. In addition, I look forward to being a part of a team made up of such strong, hard-working women. “
Welcome to the team, Sarah!
